Does my child have to be vaccinated to attend?
No students do not need to vaccinated against Covid-19 to participate
Where do classes take place?
BA runs out of 3 public school locations on the upper east side. MNS (311 E 82nd), YCS (421 E 88th), and PS6 (45 E 81st).
How long are classes?
BA classes run from school dismissal till 5 PM. Pick up is between 5 and 5:10 PM
What is the refund policy?
BA offers families the ability to receive a pro-rated refund during the first two (2) weeks of the semester. The refund will subtract the classes that have occured since registering for the class and the $50 non-refundable registration fee.
Does my child need to wear a mask? How about if the class is held outside?
BA will follow CDC guidelines regarding Covid. While BA staff will wear masks for the remainder of the Spring ‘22 semester, students do not need to wear masks as the NYC Covid Mandates have changed. Students will still need to be vaccinated to attend after-school, following CDC guidelines. As these guidelines change, so will BA policy.
Do you have class on half days?
AT YCS and PS 6 BA will run classes on half days at their regularly scheduled times. BA does not offer classes on half days at MNS.
What makes this program different from other after schools?
BA has a long track record (35 years) of providing instructional athletic classes in a large variety of sports. Not only is the goal to have a good time and make your child a better athlete, but they will also get the experience of playing sports that they would otherwise have minimal access to.
